March 13, 2007On my 49 I have installed a nova front clip and the hood and fender alignment is not correct when I close the hood down and it latches. The hood touches the fender in the back but there is space between hood and fender in the front sides. The shop made new brackets for the radiator support, I'm thinking maybe the support is sitting to low up front causing the hood to not sit correctly on the sides. When measuring the height from frame to top of radiator support can someone give me an idea of how long I need to make these brackets. Or some other avenue I can take to work out this alignment problem.

April 28, 2007Unbolt the fender bolts to loose adn pull out at the cab and tighten, other side adn do the same. close hood. Manipulate as you go forward.
May 2, 2007Well? Alligned or not. If not, Is the rad support definately the correct one? Measurements, or custom chopping work?
boy, I need to pay attention better.
Side clearance problem is due to lack of spacers at cab since hood closes on too closely. you might want to gap it in with some sheet metal on the front if it still has too far of a gap.
