April 17, 2006can anyone tell me how well it works?
April 18, 2006If you are talking about the kickdown cable, mine works great. I have the combination throttle/transmission kickdown cable setup. It works good.
April 18, 2006I used the ididit shift cable and the Lokar throttle cable and pedal. Both work great although I have to modify the throttle to get it to go WFO, as there is about 20% that I'm not using so far. Maybe that's a good thing.
April 19, 2006Lokar does make a rod type of linkage that will work with your AOD Carl. Where the cable costs around $140-150, the rod style is about $45. I was at CW Moss the other day and the new guy next door has one on the hook for sale.

April 19, 2006I have a Lokar linkage type shifter part #1801 which says it is for a C/4-C-6 application. If that will work for you, let me know.
April 20, 2006If you are at BOBCO on Saturday Carl, you can check out my fly-by-night setup. It works and I know how to make work a lot better, but have not taken the time to do so. We can talk then.
