March 9, 2006We are pretty good about posting our dumb moves to make working on our truck safer for everyone else, so here goes mine. We jacked the rear of the truck way up high to work underneath it, and placed jack stands onto the frame rails for safety. Well, I'm switching rear tires which will take a few days, and the air suspension on the front leaked down, which just about puts the bumper on the ground. It also tilted the gas tank enough for a quart to run out of the overflow onto the garage floor. My wife smelled gas. The spill wiped up and no harm. Just something to think about when radically tilting your truck, so don't have a full tank of gas at the same time!
