March 8, 2006I want to lower the truck a couple inches it sits on 4 coils other then wanting to do that the truck is stock I would like to bolt on some 20" by 9.5 " with some low profile tires
March 8, 2006We just did a photo shoot on how to figure out wheel size and back spacing. a 8" wheel is 9" edge to edge. 10" wheel is 11" edge to edge. then there is 1/2" to 3/4" of tire over the edge of wheel depending on size 40-50-60-70. so that is a starting point just measure the opening between bed side and fender and you can get a feel for how wide of a rim and tire you can use. once you figure that out then you can figure the back spacing so it will fit in the center of opening. the article should be coming up in the classic truck world home page soon.
If you drove a Ford you wouldn`t need a good wrench!!
