Hello Cullen, Welcome to the site from the Bayou State nextdoor. Like 58Fleet said, I like the older trucks too, not just one but all old trucks. I might not care much for the newer mods, but that's just me. Fix one the way you want it. As for what you start with, that just depends on what you want and what your budget is. As a general rule, the older the truck, the harder the parts are to find and the more expensive they can get. If you like the body style, the 73-87 GM trucks are probably the easiest truck to start with. The trucks and their parts are plentiful and most parts interchange throughout all the years, with the biggest exception being the front end change in 1981. You can drop any Chevy V8 in them with no problem, and your boom box can fit behind the seat without having to move a gas tank. But like I said before, that's all up to you and what you want.
